About CloudDeals

Our mission

CloudDeals exists to do one thing: help web professionals, agencies and DIY site owners pick the right managed cloud-hosting provider — without wasting money or getting locked into the wrong plan.

We focus exclusively on Cloudways because we believe it's the strongest managed-cloud option for most WordPress and PHP sites in 2026. Where it falls short, we say so.

Our story

CloudDeals started in 2024 after our founders spent years migrating clients from shared hosting (Bluehost, HostGator, GoDaddy) to managed cloud (Cloudways, Kinsta, WP Engine). We noticed two things:

1. The "review" sites ranking on Google were either thin AI-spun content or copy-paste of the brand's own marketing.
2. Real users (agencies, freelancers, ecom shop owners) were paying full price because they didn't know exclusive coupons existed.

So we built CloudDeals to fix both — long-form, tested reviews and exclusive merchant codes (currently BFCM5050) all in one place.

How we actually test hosting

Every recommendation goes through this process:

• Live deployment — we spin up a real Cloudways server on every cloud provider (DigitalOcean, AWS, GCE, Vultr, Linode/Akamai)
• Same workload — identical fresh WordPress install with WooCommerce demo data
• 30-day uptime monitoring — UptimeRobot pings every 60 seconds
• Performance benchmarking — GTmetrix, WebPageTest, k6 load tests
• Support tests — anonymized live-chat tickets timed for response and resolution
• Migration walk-through — we use the free migration to move a real production site

Editorial standards

We commit to:

• No paid placements disguised as editorial
• No AI-spun bulk content — every word is written or heavily edited by a human reviewer
• Pros and cons are mandatory — if a product has no cons, we didn't test hard enough
• Affiliate links are clearly disclosed — see Affiliate Disclosure
• Outdated content is dated, not deleted — we add update notes when reality changes
• Reader feedback is welcome — if we are wrong, tell us and we will fix it publicly

How CloudDeals is funded

CloudDeals is reader-supported. We earn a commission when you sign up for Cloudways via our affiliate links — at no extra cost to you. That is our only source of revenue. We do not run display ads, sell email lists, or accept paid reviews.

Because of this model, our incentive is aligned with yours: you have to be happy with your hosting purchase or you'll cancel within the refund window — which means we lose the commission.

If you spot an error or outdated information, please email [email protected] with the URL and what's wrong. We aim to correct factual errors within 48 hours and add a "Last updated" note showing the change.
